A private, arboretum style garden on 8.5 acres on an historic property which dates to 1874 when the Wakeman family grew onions there. It features 2 orchards, perennial and shrub gardens, a 3-tiered vegetable garden and berry houses, grass gardens, a meandering stream, interactive glass sculpture, an amphitheater, 1 acre wildflower garden.

The principal designer of this property, Cindy Shumate will give us docent led tour.

The museum is approximately 30 minutes from New Canaan by car.  Carpooling is encouraged.  There will be an optional lunch afterwards at Terrain Cafe, to be paid separately. We can also garden shop there!
