Critics Corner
We will have our next Critics Corner meeting on Friday, April 24th, at 7:00 PM, at the home of Joan Rosenthal.

The following two movies will be discussed and then rated:
The Big Lebowski: A 1998 crime, comedy film written, directed, produced and co-edited by Joel and Ethan Coen, and starring Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julieanne Moore, Steve Buscemi, and John Turturro. It follows the life of Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski, a Los Angeles slacker and avid bowler who is assaulted as a result of mistaken identity, then learns that a millionaire who shares the same name was the intended victim.

Hamnet: A 2025 historical drama film directed by Chloe Zhao, who co-wrote the screenplay with Maggie O’Farrell based on the 2020 novel by O'Farrell. The film dramatises the life of William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes who celebrate the birth of their son, Hamnet. However, when tragedy strikes and Hamnet dies at a young age, it inspires Shakespeare to write his timeless masterpiece Hamlet.
